Lisa Hussey is a Professor at the School of Library and Information Science (SLIS) at Simmons University. She received her MLIS from the University of Arizona and her Ph.D. from the University of Missouri. Prior to her doctoral studies, Lisa worked in academic, public, and special libraries, as well as serving as the program manager for the University of Arizona’s graduate LIS program. She is an active in professional organizations, including ALISE, ASIS&T, ALA, and Beta Phi Mu, and has served in both appointed and elected positions. Lisa currently serves as the coordinator of International programs for SLIS. She has led travel courses to Seoul as part of SLIS’ partnership with Yonsei University and Rwanda in collaboration with the Maranyundo Institute in Boston. Lisa has most recently worked with the School of Leadership Afghanistan (SOLA) in Kigali, Rwanda.
