Nicola Andrews (Māori, Pākehā) is a member of the Ngāti Paoa iwi, currently living on Ramaytush Ohlone territory. They work as the Open Education Librarian for the University of San Francisco, where their responsibilities include serving as campus liaison for a Department of Education Open Textbooks Pilot Program grant. In 2023, they were awarded the University of Washington Information School Graduate of the Last Decade (GOLD) Alumni Impact Award; and later that year published their debut poetry chapbook, Māori Maid Difficult. In their spare time, they watch dinosaur documentaries with their cat.
