Dr. Kendra Albright, Goodyear Endowed Professor in Knowledge Management at Kent State University, teaches in Knowledge Management, Health Informatics, and Library and Information Science. She has also taught at the University of South Carolina, the University of Tennessee, and the University of Sheffield. She was a visiting professor at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs in Tbilisi, Georgia, and the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná, Curitiba, Brazil. Dr. Albright’s research focuses on how organizations use knowledge to facilitate positive change and solve problems. Her current work takes a KM approach to smart city development, investigates KM educational competencies and programs, and analyzes the KM job landscape in the US. Dr. Albright has served as consultant to corporations and government agencies, including NEOhio.us, the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and the South Carolina Department of Transportation. She recently served as external reviewer for Åbo Akademi University and program reviewer for the Intelligence Studies program at the University of South Florida. Dr. Albright has been an invited speaker at conferences worldwide and currently serves as Editor-in-Chief for Libri, the international journal of libraries and information studies. She holds a Ph.D. in Communications, a M.S. in Library Science, and a B.S. in Human Development.
